Bella Mozzarella

Mozza or Bocco? Decisioni Decisioni

There’s nothing more delicious when the tomatoes are in season (especially from your Garden) and accompanied with beautiful mozzarella or Bocconcini (in this case Bocconcini Medallions) and fresh basil (also from the Garden)  Don’t you just love summer!

Which one do most prefer, well it is sometimes difficult to get the soft lucious buffalo mozzarella.  The medallion  Bocconcini is easier to work with in terms of presentation but today i could not find the medallions but i did find the mozzarella at Foodland on Anderson in Whitby and I bought both for a taste test.

I will do 2 platters tonight for dinner and see which one will tantalize my tastebuds?   My food sommersaults are kicking in just thinking about it.

Before I get into which one is most favoured, I just wanted to note what I used for ingredients in the salad.  Some arugula, fresh leaf lettuce from garden, grape tomatoes (which are always nice and sweet) topped with some finely minced yellow peppers (to beef it up and get more veggie factor) and then the piece de resistance, the cheese and the basil.

Side action note:  the buffalo mozza is silky and smooth, so divine to the touch and the palate.

Okay here we are a beautiful Fall evening, October 1st already.

This is almost a month later after the initial post and the site being in building mode.   Well, in the end both plates were quite very good, but the buffalo mozzarella wins over the usual available bocconcini.

Foodland, I look forward to buying more of the lucious creamy buffalo mozza.
